As discussed with a few people, I created a new SIG for manipulation / grasping: http://wiki.ros.org/sig/manipulation .
The
idea is to create a group of people interested in these subjects to
discuss common problems, focalise some of the development, etc...
Here's a short list of topics that could be of interest (this is of course non exhaustive):
- common messages and interfaces
- tactile sensors
- planners
- generic nodes / base class
- new interesting hardware
